Professional Experience

She designed the lighting for more than five hundred and fifty theatrical, dance and musical

performances in Greece and abroad. At the same time she worked as a director of photography for many

feature and short films, TV series, documentaries, theatre videos and commercials. She undertook the

lighting design of the Closing Ceremony of the gymnastics at the Athens 2004 Olympic Games. Since

2005 she has been teaching at the Department of Photography Direction for Film and Television of the

New York College in Athens, and regularly gives lectures and seminars at university departments and

theater schools. She has received several awards including the London International Festival Award for

Best Director of Photography for the film Guilt, the Best Director of Photography Award for the TV

series The Slander of Blood at the Thessaloniki Film Festival and at the Alexandria International Film

Festival for the film Before the End of the World, at the Drama Short Film Festival, as well as four Athenorama Theatre Awards,  first photography award at the 2022 Chalkis Documentary Festival for

the documentary My granddad Papaflessas. At the NYCA 2023 New York festival she was award

finalist with the film Mother of the station.

She has also been officially nominated for the Best Cinematography Cannes World Film Festival and

Best Cinematography Tokyo Sensei Festival awards for the documentary Prespa Lakes: Two Drops in

a Waterworld. For the same documentary she was semi-finalist at the Lonely Wolf International Film
