Of half guatemalan and half armenian ancesntry, Hovik Karampetian was born and raised, up until his 12th year of age, in Athens, Greece. He then attended "Melkonian", an english speaking armenian boarding school in Cyprus, for his secondary education. 

In 2007 he came back to his birthplace to study Mechanical Engineering in the "National Technological University of Athens" and at the same time found his true passion in acting. 

Entering "dilos" drama school in 2013, was the decisive moment that ensured he would pursue a career in acting.

Since he graduated his acting school in 2016 he has collaborated with many esteemed directors in theatre, cinema and tv such as Chan Wook Park, Daniel Sirkin, Andy Long, Lena Filippova, Katerina Evangelatou, Yiannis Kakleas, Manousos Manousakis to name a few. 

His passion and thirst to act is only rivaled by his dedication and self discipline on stage. As Confucius once said "Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life."
