Anta Kougia is a graduate of the Higher School of Dramatic Art of the Municipality of Agia Varvara “Iakovos Kambanellis” (2012) and the Department of Communication and Media Studies at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (2013). As an actress, she has participated from 2014 to the present in productions by Topos Allou Theater directed by Nikos Kamtsis (“Comrades?”, “The Benevolent Actors,” “Passport: A Green Button,” “The Roads of Snow,” “Right You Are (If You Think So),” “Hedda Gabler,” “Cosmogony”), at Theater 104 directed by Yiannis Laspias (“A Room of Her Own,” “Contemporary Prometheus”), and at Altera Pars Theater directed by Petros Nakos (“Flandro” – Radio Theater, “Nora – A Doll’s House,” “God’s Creatures: The Papin Case,” “Six Characters in Search of an Author”). Since 2014, she has consistently performed in children’s and youth productions by Aeroplio Theater and the CALD Artistic Company, while she has also had small roles in TV series and short films. She has worked as both an actress and researcher in European cultural programs, collaborating with artists and performers from around the world. She has attended acting workshops with Socrates Alafouzos and Thomas Kindynis, and completed a theater translation program (from French to Greek) at the French Institute of Athens with Dimitra Kondylaki. Her translation of Marivaux’s “The Benevolent Actors” was staged at Topos Allou Theater, directed by Nikos Kamtsis. Her articles have been published in the cultural magazine Ç ÐÏËÇ ÆÅÉ (The City Lives) www.ipolizei.gr since 2018, and her short stories have been included in collections published by IANOS and LOGO_TYPO. Since 2018, she has been taking vocal lessons in contemporary singing. |
